Today, we read the poem Im Nobody! Who are You? We also learned how to read a poem correctly. To read a poem, first you analyze the title. Next, you read the poem to get a feel for it. Next, you reread and analyze. Lastly, you make a connection
Reading strategies
Today took notes on different reading strategies and read a passage. Some reading strategies I wrote down are determining purpose, retell, and visualize the text. In the passage, we read about two kids who decided to skip school. The one kid bragged about his house and shared details about his house and the stuff he has in his house. We read the story from the point of view of a robber and a buyer.
Video Game addiction assignment
Today we did an assignment over an article written about video game addiction in children. I learned that 3 million out of 45 million children are addicted to video games. This addiction can cause decline in grade and neglect in household responsibilities. Video game addition can also cause irritability when they arent playing. Video game addicts are considered pathological.
introduction
My name is Elise. My expectations are to learn a lot. Some goals I have is to put in my best effort and get good grades. I want to learn more about books in this class. I want to read more books and gain an understanding about them.
